Kiev Photographer has been bringing fairy-tales to live: Photo-project “The Fairy-Tale Kyiv”
Those two ideas were the key points of ‘The Fairy-Tale Kyiv’ art project, started at 2014 by an independent community of creative youth, aiming to tell the kids and to remind to the adults about the essence of classical fairy-tale and show how truly real can it be put on the streets of Kyiv.
Famous Ukrainian theater and TV stars took part as role models in the project. Each actor ‘reincarnated’ into a particular magical hero and was placed at the chosen location in Kyiv, most suitable to the plot of his Fairy-tale.
In his lifetime Kuzma Skryabin was the first star to participate in the project in its very beginning. For ‘Fairy-tale Kyiv’ purposes he became a Gulliver who obviously found his Lilliput country in Kyiv in Miniature park. The shooting was an adventure as the real fairy-tale is because at some point Kuzma even had to be tied to the ground. But an amazing result was definitely worth it.
Other fairy-tales implemented were ‘The Red Hood’ by a young singer Natasha Gordienko and beautiful husky Fima shoot at the Kyiv botanical garden and ‘Alice in the wonderland’ by TV presenter Dasha Kolomiyets at the Paysage allee . Other young singer, Borysenko brothers, played the ‘Price and the Pauper’ near the Opera House. ‘Cinderella’ Lilya Rebryk and her prince Nikita Dobrynin, both famous Ukrainian anchormen, had a date near the Puppet theater.
There were many more magic stories told, and there are yet more to tell. ‘Fairy-tale Kyiv’ keeps working and growing, helping people never to stop believing in a fairy tale.
