Street art news: Kenor painted a whole train in Kiev, Ukraine
Barcelona based artist Kenor has returned to Kiev, Ukraine for the Art United Us project. Kenor’s style is very distinctive, he uses bright striking colours with angular geometric patterns all painted in a coherent and harmonic order. Kenor attributes the style of his work to the influence of his beloved techno music, and more specifically Detroit techno music! There is never a foreseen composition, Kenor lets the music guide him, each line forms a sound and each sound produces a colour.
The impressive project for art united us involved Kenor painting a train… legally! Kenor isn’t new to painting trains, one of his projects in Amsterdam saw him paint an old train cabin, now being used as a part of a hotel. However, this time the train in Kiev is fully functioning and is in operation everyday… that’s the beauty of this project. Kenor has played homage to the NYC graffiti subway culture of the 1970/80’s. Even when there is legal permission involved, avoiding the usual risk, it still remains an exciting and impressive project.
This super neat project was curated by Geo Leros, Iryna Kanishcheva, Waone Interesni Kazki and Ilya Sagaidak. Art United Us are rocking it at the moment…
